Laser Removals vs. Saline Removals
LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
Laser removals may be a faster way of getting rid of a botched Microblading or old undesirable Permanent Cosmetics procedure. But there are pros and cons to consider first.
The Laser tattoo removal process works by directing the laser energy toward the skin using highly concentrated colored light beams. The laser energy breaks down the ink particles into small fragments, which are then absorbed into the body and flushed out over time, your body's immune system will absorb the pigment and you will see the lightened tattoo.
Several sessions (3 - 10) may be required to reach optimal results, and the exact number required will depend on various factors and circumstances, such as: skin type, age of the tattoo, pigment saturation level and type of pigment used. There are no incisions required with this procedure and laser tattoo removal is relatively bloodless. Only the pigment from the tattoo is targeted with this treatment so that the surrounding skin and tissue is not harmed.
Pros of Laser Eyebrow Tattoo Removal
Duration of procedure time: Fast and Effective
Minimal Recovery time
Safe
Cons of Laser Eyebrow Tattoo Removal
While it is a great solution for removing Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo Ink, the laser is not the best option for pigments that have a yellow, red, or pink tone.
It will probably burn your natural brow hair, but not for good. The hair will grow back.
The price – it can be costly, especially if you need more sessions (Expect to pay between $150 - $400 a session depending on location
Hyperpigmentation (excessive color) and hypopigmentation (excessive fading) are possible side effects associated with the procedure. There is also a risk of infection and a small risk of permanent scarring as well. The skin may appear like it has been sunburned for a few months after the treatment, but this will eventually go away.
SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL
With Saline removal, most of the tattoo ink is lifted up through the surface of the skin, extracting the unwanted pigments by depositing a chemical solution based sea salt (Ingredients vary from brand to brand) with tiny tattoo needles.
When utilizing Saline Removal, your brow hair will remain intact. Whereas Laser tattoo removal may remove the natural hair on your brows and has a possibility to never grow back.
Saline removal is more gentler on the skin, causing less damage and scar tissue
At Microblading Los Angeles by Tinted Liquid, our Permanent Cosmetic tattoo removal service is less painful, less expensive and produces better results than any laser removal. Our procedure is done by utilizing a hand-held pen or an electric hand-held pen to gently open the colored tattooed skin area and applying a removal serum or paste to lift the unwanted pigment. The unwanted pigment is slowly pulled to the surface of the skin and heals into a scab. When the scab falls off, that pigment falls off with it, leaving a lightened tattoo.
Clients should expect three to four procedures before they see desired results. With this method of tattoo removal, clients can expect the tattoo to become lighter, but a full removal should not be expected. The skin can be re-tattooed after the treatment area heals.
Pros of Saline Eyebrow Tattoo Removal
Saline removal is color-agnostic, which means it works on ALL colors to be lifted from the skin
Less procedures
The price - Less Expensive
Lightens existing ink enough to start a new set of brows
Cons of Saline Eyebrow Tattoo Removal
Doesn't fully remove tattoo ink
Moderate pain level (professional topical numbing is used)
Saline Removal
Emergency Removal
(Removal needs to happen within the first 48 hours of brows being done)
Emergency Removal
Emergency removal is considered when a client is dissatisfied with the color, shape or type of procedure that has been performed on them. Most commonly known as a "botched" job.
A professional with many years of Permanent Cosmetics experience can analyze the results and determine the best solution for optimal healed results. Sometimes opting for the Emergency Removal process.
Emergency Removals have to be done within 48 hours or less of when the initial procedure took place. Once the skin is wounded, we have a short period of time before the epidermal crust is fully formed. Until that epidermal crust is fully formed, the area may accept and absorb the Li-FT® Removal Solution.
Li-FT® Removal Solution, should only be used by a licensed/permitted technician specifically trained and skilled in Saline Tattoo Lightening.
